Love Yourself
Everything was going fine. Days were going by in a normal way. I was good to everyone and so were they to me. I had great friends whom I admired a lot. They always mentioned that they understood me and were mindful about what was going on inside me. They always pledged to be by my side in all the situations of my life.
One day, I made a minor mistake, but it somehow snowballed into a huge issue. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. No one took it lightly, everyone blamed me. I was quite surprised seeing that because everyone including some of my best friends seemed to be against me. I tried a lot to convince my friends but I could not. As days wore on, many more problems piled up and my stress level went through the roof. All of this started to take a toll on my psyche.
Desperate to remedy the situation, I apologized for my mistake because I didn’t want to lose my friends. I started acting in a way they wanted to see me. Now, everything seemed to fall back to normal even though it was not. I always had a fake smile on my face but never let others in on my true feelings within me.
Slowly, I began to realize the true character of people beneath their carefully crafted façades. I realized that no one understands you better than yourself. The whole world becomes self-centered when you need them. So, if you want to achieve something in your life, be what you are. Never trust anyone else more than yourself because you are responsible for yourself, not others.
It’s just a dream led by an incident with a deep meaning. Don’t wear a fake smile on your face. It creates more problems than it solves. Be what you are and love yourself.
